"Protecting Your Infrastructure Against Latest Cyber Threats and Attacks"

In an engaging keynote by Christian Kopacsi, CSO of the State of MI, and a lively two-part panel discussion moderated by Oakland University's own Laura Dinsmoor, CyberOU is bringing the latest threats and attacks to you. Whether you are interested in learning how legacy systems are staying up-to-date or how BYOD policies are affecting current infrastructures design, the Cyber Summit is sure to answer some lingering questions and keep you one step ahead.

The Cyber Summit is from 8:00am to around 2:00pm. Don't worry, we've got breakfast and lunch covered.
Panelists are from both industry and government work, giving a rounded out view of technological trends.
Technology-enthusiasts of all kinds come from across Michigan to learn and network at this special event.


The Summit begins at 8:00am on Friday, March 18. The event is hosted in the Oakland Center Banquet Rooms, which is on the upper level of the Oakland Center. Enter on the north side of the building and go up the stairs immediatly on the left. The Summit is a professional event, and we ask you to please respect the work of all involved.

As a proven leader in information security, CSO Christian Kopacsi will introduce our theme for this year " Protecting Your Infrastructure Against Latest Cyber Threats and Attacks" with his keynote discussion. With a plethora of certifications and experience at Chemical Bank, Consumers Energy, and the State of Michigan, CyberOU is thrilled to have Christian as this year's keynote speaker.

In part 1 of the panel, the discussion will focus on recent cyber threats to infrastructures and ways to resolve vulnerabilities by examining areas such as proactive management, mobile and Internet of Things security, and "the weakest link."

With the return of our panelists for part 2, we now look at reactive measures taken due to cyber attacks against infrastructures. In a field where attacks and strategies change by the hour, panelists will discuss best practices for staying ahead and how to recover from loss.
